Robert Charlie, Chairperson
Robert is a Gwich'in beneficiary.
He has been the Chairperson of the GRRB since 1994. Representing the GTC (F) in Inuvik.
Robert Alexie Sr., Board Member
Robert is a Gwich'in beneficiary who has spent most of his life living
on the land. He has been a Board Member since 1993. Representing the GTC (F) in Fort McPherson.
James Firth, Board
Member
James is a Gwich'in beneficiary. He has served as a Board
Member for the GRRB since 1993. Represently the GTC (F) in Inuvik.
Eugene Pascal, Board
Member
Eugene is from Aklavik and a new member to
the Board. He has extensive work experience in the Ehdiitat
community, where he served as Chief for a number of years. He was
appointed to the Board in June 2005. Representing the GTC (F) in Aklavik.
Elizabeth Hansen,
Board Member
Liz is a Gwich'in beneficiary
and a retired teacher of 33 years. She
has been a Board Member since May 2001.
She also dedicates her time to various
traditional knowledge projects, for example,
the Khaii Luk (Travaillant Lake traditional
fishing knowledge) Study. Representing the GNWT (F) in Inuvik.
Johnnie Charlie, Alternate
Johnnie is from Fort McPherson
and was appointed to the Board in September 2005. Representing the GNWT (A) in Fort McPherson.
Paul Latour, Board Member
Paul
is
presently
employed
by Environment Canada in
the Yellowknife
office of the Canadian Wildlife Service (Northern Conservation Division) .
His current position is that of Habitat Biologist for the
Northwest Territories. The main focus of his work involves
assessing migratory bird habitat (to determine suitability
for permanent protection), establishing protected areas,
management of existing protected areas in the Arctic,
migratory bird habitat/population studies in the forested
Northwest Territories, environmental assessment of industrial
projects in the Western Arctic, and Aboriginal land claims
(including renewable resource management boards).
Joel Ingram, Alternate Board Member
Daniel Topolniski,
Board Member
Daniel is from Winnipeg and was appointed to the Board
as an alternate in June 2005. He is currently representing
Department of Fisheries and Oceans. Representing DFO (A) in Hay River.
