Scholarships
Application deadlines are December 31st of each year.
Jim Edwards Sittichinli Scholarship
Named after the Reverend Jim Edwards Sittichinli, a respected
elder who was committed to the land and wildlife, this scholarship
is awarded once each year to students pursuing studies in renewable
resources or related studies.
Scholarships have been awarded to the following students:
- Jo Benoit (Natural Resource Technology Program, Aurora College,
NT)
- Ian McLeod (Natural Resource Technology Program, Aurora College,
NT)
- Mary Ann Carol (Forest/ Recreation Program, University of
Northern BC, BC)
- Donald Andre (Natural Resource Technology Program, Aurora
College, NT)
- Sheldon Bernard (Natural Resource Technology Program, Aurora
College, NT)
- Ruth Anne Carroll (Christian Studies, Briercrest College SK)
- Margaret Vittrekwa (Biblical Studies, Key-Way-Tin, AB)
- John Edwards (Natural Resource Technology Program, Aurora College,
NT)

Johnny D. Charlie Memorial Scholarship
Johnny D. Charlie was a respected Elder devoted to his
people, the land and wildlife. The GRRB has established a student
work scholarship in his memory. The work scholarship is offered
to one student from the Gwich'in Settlement Area each summer.
The work scholarship was initiated in 1999.
